Pre-Course Information
Access to records
TSS maintains a record of training for every learner. If a learner does not have an up-to-date copy of their training record they can request one from the trainer or administration.
Once a learner has successfully completed nationally recognised training certification is issued and sent to candidates within 30 days of receipt of payment for the training completed. Learners may choose to receive their certification in electronic format (a secure PDF) via email, hardcopy via post, or have their cerificate posted to their employer or organisation if training is facilitated by them. Learners option to receive their certificate is indicated on the TSS enrolment form. In the event that a learner needs a replacement statement of attainment or qualification after they have completed training, they must submit a written request to administration (fees may apply).
Complaints procedures
TSS has a complaints policy with information available to clients. If you believe that you have been disadvantaged or unfairly treated, you are able to address these concerns. Information on the steps to follow is provided at the start of every TSS course. If you feel unable to address your concerns verbally, with the course instructor during the course, or are unhappy with their response, you are able to lodge a formal, written complaint. This will be dealt with in a professional and confidential manner and acted upon in the fastest possible time-frame. You will be provided with a written outcome of any complaint as soon as possible after a conclusion is reached.
Disciplinary procedures
Whilst in attendance at a TSS course you are expected to act in a manner that does not cause distress to other course participants. This includes respect of others sex, race, religion, appearance etc as well as refraining from any course or vulgar language or other offensive behavior and adhering to occupational health and safety requirements. Gross misconduct of any course participant may result in termination of the course enrolment and assessment without refund. If the student is attending training paid for by their employer, the employer will be notified of the termination and the reason. Misconduct of TSS staff will, likewise, not be tolerated, and complaints of this nature will be investigated by TSS management.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training and course you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. If you don't have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.
If you already have a USI please ensure you have it with you when enrolling in your course. If you require a USI you can create one yourself by visiting
www.usi.gov.au or Training and Safety Solutions can create one for you. Please advise your course instructor if you would like to take this option. If you have forgotten your USI you can easily recover it by visiting
www.usi.gov.au and following the prompts for a forgotten USI. It is important that you do not create another USI if you already have one.
Welfare and guidance services
TSS recognizes that students may suffer from ongoing emotional trauma from previous life experiences that may affect them in the process of training in our courses. If required, the course instructor will be able to provide the details of external counseling services. Costs apply.
